Strong Rebound: BC Home Sales Surge in May, Average Price Tops $1 Million Again

» In May 2023, there were 9,191 residential unit sales recorded in BC's MLS® systems, a 9.9% increase compared to May 2022.

» The average residential price in BC was $1.02 million in May 2023, showing a 3% increase from May 2022.

» The total sales dollar volume reached $9.4 billion, a 13.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Despite rising interest rates, home sales in May were surprisingly strong, with a recovery ahead of schedule.
